One Day Workshop on Application of Mindfulness Based Techniques to Enhance Personal Wellbeing

Counseling and Wellness Centre (CWC) at Fatima Jinnah Women University is organizing a one day workshop on “Application of Mindfulness Based Techniques to Enhance Personal Wellbeing” on 30th September 2019 in MP hall.
The purpose of the workshop is to introduce professionals and students to mindfulness techniques that can assist them to enhance their general wellbeing by reducing stress and negative emotions in personal and professional lives. The workshop is aimed at professionals, faculty members and students not only from the discipline of Psychology but from any other field, who are interested to benefit from Mindfulness techniques in everyday life.

Resource Person: Prof. Dr. Razia Bhatti Ali

Dr Razia Bhatti Ali is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist based in UK. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council and is a member of both the British Psychological Society and the Division of Clinical Psychology.

Dr. Bhatti has 20 years of professional experience within the NHS and independent sector, working with adults with a wide range of presenting problems, including anxiety, depression and low mood and adjustment to adverse life events, including past trauma and physical injury and ill health. Dr. Bhatti has a special interest in therapy for trauma, adjustment disorders and depression. She uses a holistic and integrative approach, drawing upon a range of evidence based models including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness to best meet the individual needs of clients.
