Two-day 2nd Multidisciplinary Graduate Conference: Call for Papers (In-House)

With great pleasure, the Department of Education in collaboration with the Department of English announces 2nd Multidisciplinary Graduate Conference on January 29-30, 2018 (tentative program attached). We believe that providing such forums to research scholars not only help them to become part of a larger scholarly community but also open possibilities for future inter-disciplinary research opportunities. Given the previous experience from the 1st Multidisciplinary Graduate Conference, it is established that the participation helped students develop their presentation skills and they learned various ways to share their alternative views on research. Moreover, participation in pre-conference research workshops will provide students with an opportunity to share and discuss their research ideas and/or concerns and to receive constructive feedback accordingly. This conference will also provide a stimulating opportunity to interact with graduate students from other disciplines to build a cross discipline network in the university.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to encourage your M.Phil and PhD scholars and faculty/staff (enrolled for MPhil/PhD in FJWU or in any other institution) to submit their abstracts of no more than 250-300 words for 15-min oral or poster presentation. Both in-progress and completed research work will be acceptable to present. Also DCs are requested to provide a list of their enrolled M.Phil/ PhD scholars. Please assure the participation of students by making their attendance mandatory.

Abstracts should be sent to latest by January 2, 2018. Certificates of participation will be given to paper/poster presenters and M.Phil/Ph.D. scholars.
