RAWALPINDI:  Fatima Jinnah Women University Clinic, perusing its spirit of rescuing lives arranged a blood donation in collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
This drive aimed to support PRCS in its cause of meeting the blood requirements for people suffering from various diseases. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amna said that in Pakistan practice of voluntarily blood donation is very low and this activity is designed to motivate people for voluntary blood donations. As regular blood donation saves us from many heart, liver diseases and also prevents diabetes, she further added. PRSC staff members ensured that each volunteering student first went through the weight and hemoglobin level screening. The students befitting the criteria of World Health Organization were then registered for blood donation.
Approximately 122 bags of blood were collected, reflecting the true spirit of compassion prevalent among the youth. PRCS also issued a certificate of Service for Humanity to each donor. All the students and staff members enthusiastically contributed to the cause.
