Virtual Interactive Workshop on "Parenting in ECCE" organized by Department of Education & PAFEC

Under the MoU for collaboration between PAFEC and Department of Education, FJWU, a virtual interactive workshop on 'Parenting in ECCE' will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 10:00am-12:00pm.
Goal of the Virtual Workshop: This workshop will cover areas of parent-teacher interactions, and helping with child development and learning and how ECCE centers can contribute towards.
Intendant Audience:  The attendance will be compulsory for the Department of Education core team members for development of ECCC diploma & Program; Parents of children enrolled in ECCC (faculty and staff of FJWU); Teachers and caregivers of ECCC, FJWU; and Faculty member and graduate students of FJWU Departments.

Resource Person: Ms. Shafia Rafique is ECD and ECCE education expert, CEO and Principal of Little Fellow Day Care & elementary school. Specialized in Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education Coach and Parenting Expert.
She has been a member of the curriculum review team with the Ministry of Federal Education and Profession Training since 2019 and is actively involved with the Single National Curriculum - ECCE 2020.

She holds international certification in:
1. Child growth and development from infancy to school age
2. Understanding Infant and Toddler Development
3. Strategies for caring preschool and school-age children with challenging behavior
4. Age-appropriate nutrition, feeding and support for breastfeeding
5. Establishing positive relationships with families
6. Healthy Eaters: Infants and Toddler Nutrition in Child Care Settings
7. Supporting positive peer interaction in Inclusive Child Care Settings
