FJWU Celebrated International Anti-Corruption Day

Rawalpindi:  ( ) Department of Sociology, Fatima Jinnah Women University, organized a productive seminar on the “Corruption and Our Social Responsibilities” to Celebrate “International Anti-Corruption Day” in Collaboration with Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO).

The guest speakers Mr. Arif Rahim (Reginal Director Anti-Corruption) and Mr. Syed Kausar Abbass (Executive Director, SSDO) presented their insight analysis and discussion on the topic. They suggested the young students to start recognition of ‘self’ mistakes and highlight the issues regarding any sort of corruption on any platform especially social media. Mr. Arif Rahim also said that Social evils of the society play the vital role in the destruction of the society in any country. Pakistan is one of those countries which are facing various critical social evils which have affected the law and order, national harmony and the peace of the country.

Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Samina Amin Qadir said that people of the country should collectively think about resolution of the issue so that both poor and rich people would get equal rights.

Mr. Arif Rahim said we are working to promote peace, social justice, and harmony in society through developing an impetus at the local and national level for emphasizing the rule of law.
