FJWU Organized 2 Day Film-Making & Documentary Screening
Rawalpindi- Department of Communication and Media Studies, Fatima Jinnah Women University Organized an event on Human Rights Film Festival in collaboration with United Nations.
On the first day a workshop was conducted in Film & Documentary Making and second day there was a Documentary screening of "Facing the Dragons".
Ms. Sara Akhtar Hashmi was the moderator of the event. uniteFaculty and students of Communication and Media Studies Department attended the event.
Senator President Women Wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e- insaaf Seemi Izdi and Ambassador of Netherlands Nabil Tauati expressed his gratitude towards the people of Pakistan for their hospitality and talked about discrimination of women all over rhe world and how they don't get equally paid as men. He said we should be the 'voice of victims' i.e. who face different challenges in different aspects of life e.g. job, home, education, patriarchal society etc. He also answered and discussed the questions raised by students.
At the end, Ms. Sara Akhtar Hashmi thanked all the guests and panelist. Prof. Dr. Uzaira Rafique presented souvenirs to the honorable guests.
