FJWU Organized Workshop on "Wireless Communication Technologies in IOT"

Rawalpindi   - Department of Software Engineering, FJWU in collaboration with the Pakistan Engineering Council and the IEEE FJWU student branch organized a CPD workshop on “Wireless Communication Technologies in IOT”, Resource person of the workshop was Dr. Syed Ali Hassan and he is working as an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST, where he is heading the IPT research group, which focuses on various aspects of theoretical communications.

He talked about wireless communication theory, signal processing theory,Applied Mathematics, modes of communication, FAB (Frequency Allocation Board) in Pakistan, digital communication, SMS services, CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and briefly explains these topics and while talking about wireless technologies said up till now there are four technologies we have made progress in: i.e. 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. The technology which we are anticipating in 2020 is 5G lots of work is been done but much more to go.

Chief Guest of the workshop was HOD Miss Mehreen sirshar, she said thanks to Dr. Syed Ali Hassan for his precious time and insight on the subject and also presented souvenir to him.
