FJWU Starts "Clean & Green Pakistan Program" Plantation Drive

Rawalpindi: Fatima Jinnah Women University collaboration with Punjab Forest Department Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi inaugurated plantation campaign under “Clean and Green Pakistan Program”.

The ceremony was attended by Federal Minister Of Climate Change Ms. Zartaj Gul, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, Deputy/ Acting Commissioner RWP Chaudhry Mohammad Ali Randhawa,  Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Mr. Joudat Ayaz, Chairman PHA Rawalpindi Asif Mahmood, MPA Mr. Yawar, Director Horticulture PHA also university faculty and students attended the program and planted the trees.

Meanwhile, addressing the participants, Federal Minister of Climate Change Ms. Zartaj Gul, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir advised the students to play a proactive role in making the world pollution-free, cleaner and a greener place. Also Ms. Zartaj Gul advised students to play their best role for not littering the environment to help to make the world pollution-free, cleaner and greener place. The students promised with determination to go beyond college boundaries to develop a hygienic surrounding.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister Imran Khan had initiated a cleanliness drive with an aim to modify the outlooks around the country.

At the end all guests, participants, including teachers, management and students were holding placards and banners to highlight the importance of cleanliness and pollution hazards.
