HAFTA SHAN-E-REHMATUL LIL ALAMEEN ﷺ CELEBRATED AT FATIMA JINNAH WOMEN UNIVERSITY WITH FULL FAVORS
RAWALPINDI: In connection with Celebration of Hafta Shan-e-Rehmatul lil Alameen ﷺ Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) at divisional level has organized Naat and Qirat Competitions. The judges of the Qirat competition were Ms. Summaya Tahira, Former Head of Department Islamic Studies and Dr. Hifz ur Rehman, Chairman, Dept. of Arabic, Government Gordon College, Rawalpindi. Whereas the Naat competition was adjudged by Prof. Dr Zahida Parveen, Principal. Government Viqar-un-Nisa Post Graduate College, Rawalpindi and Dr. Riaz Ahmad Saeed, Faculty Member, NUML- Islamabad. Students from different universities took part in competition.
Dr. Shehzadi Pakeeza, Head of Islamic Studies Department announced the results of each competition.She appreciated the skills of the participating students and stressed the students to acquire knowledge of the Holy Quran as it covers each and every aspect of human life. She urged students to follow the teachings of Holy Quran as it is the best way to eradicate all crisis in present situation. She hoped that the practice of recitation will be fruitful in their life.
Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Humayun Iqbal, Additional Registrar said the basic aim of celebrating this week is to involve the students in healthy activities and boost up their spiritual connection with Holy Prophet and His teachings. At the end, Mr. Humayun Iqbal, distributed the certificates among the students and thanked the worthy guests for gracing the occasion.
On the same day debate competition was also arranged titled “Role of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ as a Legislator” at divisional level. The judges of the competition were Prf. Dr. Ali Kamel Kazalbash, and Dr. Bushra Parveen, renowned educationist. .
In the female category, Ayesha Fatima from the Pir Mehr Ali Shah, Arid Agriculture University was awarded first position. The second position in the competition was grabbed by Syeda Fatima Madhi from University of Rawalpindi, while the third position in the female category was won by Syeda Taqudus Zehra from Fatima Jinnah Women University. Respected judges along with the organizers of the events distributed the certificates among the winning students. In the male category, student from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University was awarded first position for his brilliant performance.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Dr. Ali Kamel Kazalbash said that legislation is an important part of every society its implementation is necessary. Life of the Holy Prophet is a guide for all of us in each and every matter of life.
Moreover, position holders of the divisional level round will represent region at provisional level contests in final round at Lahore.
