Opening Ceremony: Three Days Workshop on "Professional Development for Young Academics"

Rawalpindi: the Department of WRRC (Women Research and Resource Center)  Fatima Jinnah Women University, is organize a three days workshop on “Professional Development for Young Academics” from 15th – 17th August 2018.

Chief Guest for Opening Ceremony was Prof Samina Bukhari, Registrar FJWU.

Workshop based on four sessions, in first session Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi talked about “higher education, professional development and women: issues and perspectives” and what skills you needed for this delivered a detailed lecture on it.

In the second session Dr. Shaheena Ayub Bhatti Director WRRC briefly talks about on Research quality in higher and professional education, and said professional development is necessary for every individual of young academics.

In third session Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir talked about on educational administration and women universities and said University is the training ground where you are prepared to face the challenges of the real world. I want to emphasize for the young women of this nation that time ripe for us to strengthen what we have achieved and to avail of the opportunities that come our way. We have to think of the future of our nation.

Last session based on “Discussion” question answer session which was helpful for everyone and workshop was a big opportunity to share problems and good practices about research and professional Development.
