Orientation Sessions organized for Counseling and Wellness Center

Rawalpindi: Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) organized one day orientation sessions for students on 13th September in New Auditorium. The purpose of these sessions was to raise awareness about the services being offered by the center. Dr. Sajida Naz and Dr. Nafeesa Sireer were the resource persons, whereas Ms. Asma Mansoor, administrative assistant CWC was also present at the occasion. The seminar was attended by students from all Departments of the University. Introduction about the center and access to range of services for the students were explained during the session. In interactive question answer sessions, students expressed the significance of understanding, identifying and acknowledging mental health issues and reaching out for support. The resource persons emphasized that the seminar participants should act as ambassadors and inform other students and individuals in need of such support. The students were invited for walk in sessions for their orientation. The sessions concluded by thank you note for the participants. Brochures containing information about the services of the center and registration procedure were distributed among the participants.

The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) is situated in the main ITC building, close to the CESTAC office. Operating hours are from 8am till 4pm during weekdays. Brochures and information leaflets are available at the front desk in the CWC.
