Tender Notice: Reconstruction of Under Ground Water Tank

Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi (FJWU) wants to invite sealed bids, under Single Stage – Two Envelope Bidding Procedure from eligible firms or persons licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in C-6 and above category for the following work.

1. Interested firms / contractors can obtain complete set of tender documents / terms & conditions and ToRs for technical on payment in the form of Pay Order/ Bank Draft in the name of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi from the office of the undersigned on working days (Mon – Fri) during (09:00 am – 02:00 pm).
2. The Bid security / earnest money shall be submitted with the technical bid in the form of Pay Order/ Bank Draft/ FJWU receipt in the name of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. The bid submitted without bid security / earnest money shall be rejected being non-responsive.
3. Firms should be registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Department.
4. The submission of tenders by the contractor implies that they are fully conversant with the site of the work, scope of the work and terms and conditions laid in the tender documents.
5. The prices should be quoted in Pak rupees inclusive of all Government taxes / duties etc.
6. The tenders shall be quoted on single stage two envelope bidding process containing Technical Bid (2 copies) and Financial Bid sealed in separate envelopes.
7. The bidder having their offices in Rawalpindi/ Islamabad and those having experience in the relevant field shall be preferred.
8. The successful firm(s), in accordance with Section-22(A)(b) of Schedule-I of Stamp Act 1899 read with Finance Act 1995 (Act-VI of 1995), is liable to pay Stamp Duty @ Twenty Five Paisa for every One Hundred Rupees on account of provision of ordered equipment/ items/ stores. The stamp duty will have to be paid in the form of Stamp Paper(s). The stamp paper(s) should be in the name of the firm.
9. The advertisement and tender documents can also be obtained from www.fjwu.edu.pk and www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk websites.
10. The FJWU reserves the right to reject all bids/proposals or bids/proposals prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal as per PPRA Punjab rule 35, however upon bidder request the ground of rejection will be communicated to the concerned but no justification will be given as per PPRA rule 35(2).
11. In case the date of opening is declared as a public holiday by the government or non-working day due to any reason, the next official working day shall be deemed to be the date of submission and opening of tenders accordingly. The time and venue shall remain the same.
