BSc. Software Engineering Degree Details

Program Duration: 8 Semesters/4 years
Eligibility Criteria:

• HSC/HSSC (Pre-Engineering/Computer Science) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science securing at least 60% marks in aggregate of a University, a Board of Intermediate or Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan.  
• Any other examination of a Foreign University/Institution/Examination Body, with both standard as well as scope wise is equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Pre-Engineering) of a university or a Board of Intermediate/Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan   

Note:

• Passing of NTS (NAT-I) or an entrance test conducted by the respective Institution or University.
• The terms and conditions as defined by PEC from time to time will be applicable.  

Degree Completion Requirements (one point per line)

• The curriculum is comprised of engineering and non-engineering courses. The engineering domain includes the software engineering foundation courses, breadth and depth courses, and multi-disciplinary domain courses.
• A comprehensive senior year design project or Final Year Design Project (FYDP) is offered to students at the start of 7th semester which continues for the span of one complete year.
• The non-engineering domain contains courses which are related to the social sciences, natural sciences, and management sciences.
• Two consecutive probations will lead to termination of registration as per university policy.
• A minimum of 75% attendance is requisite to get registered in the course exams at all times.
