As the Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University, it gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome from the platform of All Pakistan Women Universities Consortium. Our consortium aims to strengthen the collaboration among women universities in Pakistan, to achieve excellence in higher education for women and to enhance their development and empowerment. With the recent inclusion of 10 more universities, we are proud to have a network of like minded institutions that are committed to this noble cause. I commend the efforts of all the founding members and the new institutions that have joined us, and I believe that by sharing resources, finding grounds of mutual interests, and planning for the future, we can make a significant contribution to the higher education of women in our country. I would also like to express my gratitude to the British Council and the Higher Education Commission for their support in this endeavor. Together, we can create a conducive environment for women faculty and students and ensure their retention in the field of higher education. I look forward to annual consortium meetings with our partners and to finding new mechanisms of documenting our efforts.

Lahore College for Women University is proud to be one of the founding members of this consortium, which now comprises of 13 universities from all over Pakistan. I am confident that this consortium will create opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among member universities, leading to greater excellence in higher education for women in Pakistan. Together, we can create a more conducive environment for faculty and student retention, and identify new mechanisms for documenting our efforts. I extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS), a pioneering institution in imparting education to women in Sialkot, Pakistan. As a member of the All Pakistan Women University Consortium, we are committed to promoting women's education and empowerment throughout the country. GCWUS has a rich history of providing quality education to Pakistani women for over 70 years, and we are proud to continue this legacy as a leading women's university in the country. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, GCWUS collaborated with other universities to share resources and support each other in delivering quality education remotely. Our commitment to academic excellence and research output is aligned with the goals of the Consortium, and we are excited to work together towards empowering women and promoting gender equality in Pakistan.
